A great book for any craftsmen. Gives all the info needed. You couldn't make a canoe without it.

There are probably six or seven different books and magazine articles that describe the building process in detail, but this is the one that is THE STANDARD and is, by far, the most interesting and complete. It includes plan dimensions for six or eight canoes, but most will spend the $40 or so to send away for full-size plans and avoid having to loft them yourself. It is also a book that is enjoyable to browse and read even if you are not building. But after doing so, you'll get the bug and spend the next four months in your garage like I did. Very theraputic
