As a Harbor Pilot who handles ships in and out on a daily basis, I recommend this book for someone who is going to get the hands on the job. It's stuffed with very helpful hints and tips that I still use after ten years on the profession. It could not be otherwise as the author is himself a pilot.
Besides, the author's narrative is really smooth and humorous what makes it not only a great book, technically speaking, but also turned it into a nice reading.

The book edition was not specified on the internet page presentation. So I've got the third edition, wich is not usefull for me, while I did need the fourth edition. I've spent U$74 and yet I don't have the correct book.
