Dynamite Payson offers you a new guide to building 15 exciting boats from master designer Phil Bolger. Instant Boatbuilding with Dynamite Payson includes plans and instructions for a multipurpose skiff for sail, oar, and power; a pirogue for single or double paddle; a big pram dinghy; a maneuverable peapod; a long, fast, rowing dory; a rugged outboard-powered work skiff; and more. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another Dynamite book
Mr. Payson clearly shows how to build a very good selection of Bolger-designed boats for the beginning builder to the more advanced. The building methods are straightforward and the explanations very clear. The author is a very honest person who is willing to admit his past errors. That information is valuable to the builder who can avoid those mistakes and not feel badly about his own faux pas. For example, Dynamite is now using water base boat paints instead of oil paints he strongly recommended ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - He's the Man
This guy has been in boats from birth; he knows whereof he speaks. Instant boatbuilding with Dynamite Payson : the fastest, easiest way to build 15 boats for power, sail, oar, and paddle has just what it says, plans with directions for 15 different boats, all from the board of the inimitable Phil Bolger.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great View
I have the first book as well, I wanted the plans for the Grande Diablo. I actually bought the plans for the Diable about a year ago. I collect plans that look like great boats, who knows after the two I have going now, maybe I will finally build the Diablo. Get the books now, then you can decide when to build. The one thing that really stinks is finding a boat plan and then find out you cant get the plans. I like the fact that there a variety of boats as well, who knows as I get older, maybe I may ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good addition to a boat building bookshelf
This is a good addition to Payson's earlier books detailing the build for more Phil Bolger designs. Even though some of the boats lack the the full Dynomite treatment, there is enough information here to build every boat in the book.

If you've found yourself with Bolger's "Boats with an Open Mind" and Payson's "Instant Boats" and/or "New Instant Boats" open at the same time, you need this book too!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Hard for a non-woodworker
Very good book for the introduction of wooden boat building, but if you're not already a woodworker there are too many terms that is hard to understand with out constantly flipping back and forth to the glossary.
